“After dropping out of Dance School both physically injured and
disillusioned with the entertainment industry, Naomi stumbled on Yoga
and began practicing in 2001 in Freetown, Christiania whilst living in
Denmark.
After years of performing and working behind the scenes in the
entertainment industry. Naomi decided to step away and concentrate on
teaching dance, pilates and fitness.
During this time Naomi's injuries grew worse. Born with twisted hips
and unable to walk properly, movement from childhood was her medicine. The physical demands of dance training along with the oppression of a dysfunctional
industry led Naomi to do her Yoga Teacher Training.
Naomi went on to study and do teacher training with leading teachers
Stewart Gilchrist, Seane Corn, Paul Grilley, Kino Macgregor, Gurmukh,
Anna Ashby, Anodea Judith, Nadia Narain and Claire Missingham.
Inspired by the Krishnamacharya lineage Naomi teaches Vinyasakrama
yoga, Pregancy Yoga and Yin/Restorative Yoga.
Naomi has been a regular contributor for Women's Fitness Magazine on
their Yoga panel, and has written articles for new age fash blog The
Numinous. She has also been featured in Marie Claire, Prima Mum &
Baby, Cosmopolitan and Yoga Magazine.
