Yoga and Mindfulness six week course

Next course begins on 15th January 2017 and runs every other Sunday until 26th March.
In their essence, Yoga and Mindfulness are both “awareness practices” and are inseparable when practised with intention. We are all capable of living consciously, and of making choices about how we respond to our own dramas and to life's events.
Hatha Yoga helps us to recognise and release stress from the body, to build body awareness and to build our ability to live in the present moment.
When we bring the concepts of Mindfulness into Hatha Yoga, we learn to carry that awareness and sensitivity out into the world. This is known to have a positive effect on our mood, our ability to cope with life's ups and downs, and on our relationships with others.
During a Yoga and Mindfulness class, Morven will teach Yoga postures, breath awareness practices and guided Mindfulness practices. Each week we approach the practice from a slightly different perspective, or we develop ideas that have been previously introduced.
You will be given optional "homework" each week - a chance to practice your mindfulness in everyday life.

Morven Hamilton

Morven's aim is to share yoga's vital tools for self-empowerment and healing. Her own journey with Yoga began in 1996 with an intuition that this ancient practice contains the secrets to health, happiness and peace, and she teaches from her own transformational experience.
Morven teaches Hatha Yoga, Yoga and Mindfulness, Hatha Flow, Restorative Yoga, Meditation. She offers CPD courses and teacher training in Yoga and Mindfulness, yoga philosophy and meditation. She also has a wealth of experience teaching one to one classes for those who wish to begin yoga or deepen their practice, and those who are recovering from injury.
Morven is a YA accredited Senior Yoga Teacher and has been teaching since 2008.
