My practice and teaching of yoga is inspired by the philosophy of Vanda Scaravelli and influenced by many years of learning the Alexander Technique. I focus very much on working in a gentle and intelligent way to encourage the body to go into postures when it is ready. I believe that if we are kind to our body – our body will respond and begin to change. We do not just do yoga – we become yoga when the body is ready.
As a result my approach to teaching yoga is therapeutic and is especially useful in addressing back, neck and shoulder problems, hip and knee problems and general muscle aches and pains and stiff joints.
I offer classes, workshops and retreats in yoga practices including asana, pranayama meditation and mantra. I am also now offering Cyclic Meditation for the first time in the UK. In collaboration with other yoga practitioners and experts I also offer specialist classes and workshops including Yoga and Rehabilitation, Scaravelli inspired workshops and Mantra Chant.
Classes and workshops are taught from a variety of locations and one to one tuition is also available from my home and via Skype.
