Following a long affair with Yoga practice I studied Sivananda Yoga in 2014. A classical Hatha Yoga course offering an intense study in anatomy, pranayama-breathing techniques, meditation as well as a taste of yogic life style in a ashram environment in Poland.
Since then I have been teaching Yoga at Community and Sports Centres. I have been inspired by other fantastic teachers, their styles and approach during my travels to yoga retreats to Poland.
I visited India Mcleod Ganj in the Himalayas to experience and practice Yoga at the 'source', staying with local people and being part of their culture and rituals.
The style of my classes is a fusion of classical Hatha yoga combined with my own practice based on continuous studies and inspiration from others.
I prepare my classes for mixed abilities using stretches and postures to put emphasis on different parts of the body; hips and hamstrings, core strength, shoulders, wrists and upper body, lower and upper back, overall flexibility.
We practice combining breathing and stretching techniques, focusing on alignments. We are developing yoga postures and mindfulness during the practice. I provide support and guidance to gain the maximum benefits during the practice using blocks and straps. Finishing the session with guided relaxation to balance the body and mind feeling relaxed and refreshed.
The rewards are great! More strength, flexibility, healthier joints, healing for back pain, joints and arthritis, stronger immune system and overall better wellbeing.
One to one sessions tailored to the individuals needs are available on request in the comfort of your own home. One hour session £20.00.
