The quadriceps, hamstrings, and hips of serious cyclists never rest. This causes riders to very often have overdeveloped quadriceps and inflexible hamstrings, resulting in the hips being pulled out of alignment. Coupled with this, a cyclist’s spine is constantly rounded forward. If proper form isn’t maintained, it can result in muscle pain and strain in the back and shoulders. Yoga helps ease this tightness, creating core strength, and realigning the spine. Yoga also systematically stretches and compress every part of the body which lengthens muscles to give you a longer, more powerful stride on the bike. In this class there is a real focus on strength, flexibility, power, and stamina, everything you need on a bike. This class will also makes you less prone to injury.
