Yoga Teacher : Accessible Integral Hatha Yoga

The journey into yoga did not begin with a plan to teach. It began as a quiet whisper in the heart—a pull toward something deeper.

After seven years of personal practice, a life-changing 200-hour training with the Hersha Yoga Institute in 2019 opened the way. It wasn’t about mastering poses, but about reconnecting to breath, body, and the True Self. The path unfolded gently, underneath my feet, step by step.

I first began teaching in communities often underserved and unfairly viewed through the lens of stigma: a women’s remand centre, a homeless shelter, and a school for at-risk youth. These early experiences revealed the true essence of yoga—not performance or perfection, but presence, dignity, and connection.

With a deep belief that yoga is for everyone, I pursued further training focused on inclusivity and accessibility. In Hong Kong, I earned certifications and experience in:
- Integral Hatha Yoga 500TT (Basic & Intermediate Levels)
- Accessible and Adaptive Yoga (Chair, Trauma-Sensitive, Special Needs, All Physical Abilities)
- Raja Yoga (focused on Pranayama and Meditation)
- Kidding Around Yoga (for children and teens)

Through the YAMA Foundation, I’ve had the privilege of offering yoga to underserved communities—youth, elders, people with disabilities—as well as the wider public.

In 2022, I relocated to Southend-on-Sea in the UK and joined forces with Yoga4All Southend. Since then, I’ve led classes not only to the general public, but community classes with all ages and abilities (Chair or Mat); Adults with Special Needs; inclusive movement classes for individuals living with brain injuries. I have also completed training and certified in Brain Longevity Therapy, focusing on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s prevention, exploring how yoga can support the nervous system and emotional healing.

My classes are welcoming, adaptable, and centred on the needs of each student—offered both in person and online. Over the years, training has continued to deepen the ability to serve.

To me, yoga [YUJ युज्] is unity—a remembering of who we truly are. It’s a path back to connection, clarity, and love.
I have surrendered to the mission: to serve, to share, to live in gratitude and to grow—together.

May all beings be filled with Peace, Joy, Love, and Light.
Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi (Om Peace Peace Peace) - Namaste (Passing to you the light in my heart).
