This 9-day teacher training in London is available to yoga teachers passionate about bringing yoga and mindfulness to children and Teenagers. YogaBeez, accredited by Yoga Alliance International, incorporates all aspects of the traditional yoga and mindfulness practice to educate, exercise and empower the WHOLE child.
What we cover in the training
The first part of the course focuses on children ages 2 - 11 years, and the foundations for teaching a well-rounded class. We explore child appropriate yoga poses, breath, games, school curriculum requirements and all aspects of the traditional yoga and mindful practices. The philosophies and works of Maria Montessori, Howard Gardner, Thich Nhat Hanh, Judith Lasater and many more wonderful teachers enrich this program. Our yoga classes focus on WHOLE child development ... educating, exercising and empowering all children.
The second part is the advanced level delves deeper into the world of anatomy and physiology, mindfulness and meditation for children and teens, writing guided imagery, further classroom management, nutrition and healthy living, social and emotional development, group and partner poses. We focus on working with teens, their development through the ages 12 – 18yrs, students with special needs, exploring pranayama, massage, chanting, mudras, chakras and the endocrine, nadis and the nervous system etc. Plus we look in depth at setting up your Yoga Business.
Teach a hands on class to children or teens and present you passion to the group.
