During this yoga retreat we will be practising standing, sitting and inverted postures, as well as restful and restorative postures. We will focus on the alignment of the body with the help of props typical of the Iyengar method such as bricks, belts, bolsters, weights, chairs and ropes. Spello is a Roman fortress town in Umbria on the doorstep of Assisi, with excellent views of Foligno and towards Perugia. Spello’s pleasant and lively historic centre is ideal for shopping, strolling around or having a coffee or aperitivo in one of the many bars or a snack in one of the small delis.

I practised yoga for the first time in Germany in 1994. I started my teacher training with the Light on Yoga Association when I moved to London, obtaining the Iyengar yoga teaching diploma in 2001 just before moving to Italy. In 2002 I started teaching yoga classes in Camerino in central Italy. I continued to further my spiritual and professional training with various Italian and foreign teachers and continually deepened my own personal yoga abilities.
