Yoga and Ayurveda are sister philosophies sharing a common foundation steeped in the Indian tradition and focused on healing, maintenance and stability. At the heart of both these practices, is the wellbeing of the individual – physically, emotionally and psychologically. The approach of Yoga and Ayurveda is distinct but there are key concepts that overlap. In this workshop we will touch on these key ideas to ask questions, discover and perhaps better understand the connection of digestion and our wellbeing.

Shital has been practicing yoga since 1999. She studied on the Sandhana Mala Teacher Training course with teachers, Dave Charlton and Ranju Roy, and went on to complete the Art of Individual Teaching course working with clients on a 1-2-1 basis. Both courses focused on the teachings of Krishnamacharya and his son Desikachar, with an emphasis on the quality of the breath and appropirate movement. The teachings are rooted in and reference the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and aim to facilitate an individual along the path of yoga. Shital continues her studies to deepen her understanding and is currently studying Vedic Chanting with Sheela Shanker, Dave Charlton and Ranju Roy.
