Mantra Siddhi Yoga (Japa Yoga)

In this series of classes we will continue our exploration of tantric meditation techniques. Mantra Siddhi Yoga uses the technique of japa which means "union of the self with the highest existance through rotation of consciousness". Mantra Siddhi Yoga practices enable the practitioner to locate the exact position of each chakra by awakening their awareness of each one. This is not an academis knowledge but a deep instinctive awareness. As such they are used and recommended as preparation practices for Kundalini Yoga (Kriya Yoga). They are relatively easy practices to do and learn so are suitable for relative beginners but they also make up a special group of practices that can bring great benefits to the serious practitioner with time to commit to their sadhana.

Alison Roberts is a qualified Yoga Fellowship of Northern Ireland teacher who started by training in the traditional way of "param para" under the guidance of her teacher and friend Helen MacBroom (Parasmani). Helen first trained as a disciple of Paramahamsa Satyananda Saraswati and is a qualified BWY, IYF and All India Council of Yoga Teacher. The two founded the Ananda Yoga Circle in 2006, holding classes in East Belfast and Holywood and both are involved in various Teacher Training Programmes in Ireland including YFNI, YTTC and The Yoga Studio. Alison was also a course director and senior course tutor for Yoga Studio International.
