As the seasons change so to do our bodies, thoughts and feelings. Spring is the time of year for challenges and personal growth as we stretch ourselves out of winter with new beginnings

10.00 – 11.30 ‘Spring Clean’ Yoga Practice with Beth
Spring is a time for new and rising energy. It is the time to work on your foundation within the postures, providing strong roots to grow out of, giving you stability and strength. Cleansing postures are used at this time of year to prepare the body for the coming months. In this practice session we will move through a steady, flowing sequence of postures coordinating breath and movement. The flows will include side bends, squats and twists to stimulate the liver and gallbladder energy pathways that (according to Chinese medicine) can get congested at this time of year. After our revitalising practice we will settle into a few restorative poses where we can surrender to the ‘now’, be still, and take stock.
11.30 – 12.30 Meditation Coaching with Carolyn
Following on from the yoga practice and the theme that spring time is the moment of the Liver and Gallbladder, our meditation practice will focus on the energetic qualities of these organs. When they are in balance we are able to clearly identify our purpose and goals in life and know which steps to take to make them a reality. When the energy of these channels is stagnated we can feel frustrated, angry and even depressed. Carolyn will show you how, through meditation, you can transform any negative emotions into positive ones to get your energy and life flowing again.

I am an experienced teacher and hold the British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Certification. Regular classes are held in and around Newbury, Hungerford, Childrey and Wantage areas. I have been teaching for over 22 years locallly. My classes focus upon moving mindfully through gentle flowing sequences as well as postures that are held for a while. The lessons will help you to build strength, flexibility and improve core stability. Classes also include pranayama (yoga breathing techniques), mindfulness and relaxation to give you the tools to relax and find a little calm. Monthly restorative (relaxation) classes are also available as well as regular workshops, retreats and 1-2-1 lessons
