This sequence can challenge beginners and seasoned practitioners alike and yet it is a cornerstone of modern yoga practice. We will be examining the sequence in detail and breaking down each posture and transition to reveal the body mechanics, alignment, muscular engagement and breath so that you develop a deep understanding of the practise and it's effects on the body/ mind and it's uses a class or home context. You will learn modifications or progressions to ensure that you can work at a level that is most suitable for your ability.

I was lucky enough to discover yoga as a child and have now been practising for nearly 40 years! Having studied various different styles with many different teachers I qualified with Camyoga - widely held to be a centre of excellence.
I am a registered teacher and insured with the Yoga Alliance UK and hold a first aid qualification.
My teaching style is founded on strong alignment principles and creative sequencing. Classes vary from a gentler practice suitable for beginners to a strong Vinyasa flow.
All classes have at least some element of flow along with Pranayama (energy direction through breath control) meditation/concentration, Kriyas (cleansing practices). Postures are sequenced through effective warm ups, progressing through a series of Asana (postures) to a guided relaxation (savasana) at the end. Modifications/progressions offered at all levels and you are encouraged to work to your own ability. Props are provided where necessary and I carry spare mats. You are encouraged to bring a blanket!
