I have been teaching yoga since 2000 and love it. I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful job. My style is essentially hatha yoga, technically supported by an earlier career as a dancer. Having trained initially at the Sivananda Centre in Kerela India and since continued to train both in general yoga, (2013/15 with John Stirk) Pregnancy yoga through Birthlight (perinatal level 3 2012) and a BWY module in postnatal yoga with Sitaram my classes are constantly evolving to towards the changing needs of students. I also run weekends of yoga and walking which are refreshing, relaxing and lots of fun and teach a yoga holidays abroad each year.
‘For me yoga is ultimately about being here and now, living in this moment and accepting what the moment brings, smiling from inside and glowing on the outside…. sometimes I achieve this.’My emphasis when teaching is on stabilising and releasing - body mind maintenance!! The average age of my students is 40-85!! Gentle but with challenges.
