Anita is a highly experienced and qualified yoga teacher and acupuncturist. In 2006 her journey began, in 2010 she studied for 10 months for a foundation diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga. In 2011 Anita travelled to Australia where she spent three months in a Satyananda Ashram living the yogic life. This was a profound and extremely valuable experience for Anita and so in 2012 she travelled to the Himalayas for her teacher training qualification with the Sivananda tradition. In 2013 Anita qualified to teach yoga for pregnancy and completed the 10 day Vipassana meditation course which was wonderfully challenging. Since 2012 Anita has been teaching full time and has also explored Kundalini yoga, Yin yoga and completed a BSc degree in Acupuncture. Through her knowledge of Chinese Medicine and energy she has developed her own style of teaching bringing together both Yin and Yang aspects to create a balanced practice for everyone.
Anita has recently moved to Cornwall from Salisbury where she taught up to 13 classes a week over 6 years, she specialises in creating a warm and calming environment that enables everyone to relax and enjoy the benefits of yoga. Her classes start off with breathing exercises (pranayama) and then moves into dynamic warming sequences including balance work (Yang) and then moves into slower, longer held, calming postures (Yin) culminating in a deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra).
